Man I am having withdrawals I want to watch it again soooo badly.

If you're looking at the reviews on rottentomatoes I highly suggest ignoring the bad ones. Anyone who found this movie boring probably isn't a fan who has read the books. This movie is ALL ABOUT character development. It is definitely different from the other Potter films - but it is so close to the book its breathtaking! Much of it followed the EXACT text of the book word for word. Yes there was slow pacing in this movie - but it was very much so necessary. This book is NOT a comfortable one, so of course the movie isn't going to be either.

There were a few small changes, one was the lack of Dudley's sad goodbye to Harry. I was kinda sad that it wasn't in there, it was a great little part in the book. They also changed Hedwig's death a bit; in my opinion for the better. If I remember correctly Hedwig was just in her cage when she died in the book - but in the movie Harry lets her go before he even leaves on Hagrid's motorcycle. When Death Eaters start barraging them with attacks she attempts to protect Harry and gets hit by a spell.

Now for my favorite parts - the seven Harrys!! Man it was absolutely HILARIOUS. Especially Fleur's comment "Bill don't look at me, I'm hideous."
The break into the ministry was nice too - They did a good job putting the trio's voiceovers with the adult bodies - and well that whole scene was just pretty funny. Especially Ron and his "wife" LOL. The relationship between the trio was so perfectly displayed it brought tears to my eyes many times.

Hermione (Emma Watson)'s performance was really really good in this film. Especially when Ron came back and helped Harry get Godric Gryffindor's sword. It was PERFECT. They have all matured in there ability to act immensely! WHEN RON GOT SPLINCHED - SOOO nasty! They made his arm looks really bad - really well. haha. Did anyone else notice Ron put on a little weight??? He had little man boobies XD. It didn't bother me! I can imagine the character Ron growing up and having a bit of a gut XD.

OMGOSH Godric's Hollow. That part gave me the creeps in the book and even more so seeing it in actual moving pictures. They did Bathlida Bagshot PERFECTLY. The whole crowd started making scared noises the MOMENT she appeared on screen.

Lastly, DOBBY. Y_____Y What a way to end the film. No one made a peep during this part of the movie and it was just overall very heavy. I think Dobby's death is such an important scene - It proves precisely HOW DIFFERENT from Voldemort Harry really is. Voldemort - the man who hates anyone who is even half muggle; And Harry, who can become so sad over the death of a house-elf that he would take the time to hand-dig a grave for him.

OKAY so --- CAN WE SEE PART 2 ALREADY?????

Or at least someone take me to see part one again please!!!

It was the first movie that did not actually offend my friend. And this is my friend who loves the series so much that she had the line 'open at the close' tattooed on the back of her neck. We both were in tears through the Dobby scenes, just at the same chapter that I started bawling in the books (and didn't really stop until the end)

But yeah, acting was better, and they did not get rid of any really important scenes in order to put in completely new shit. Though I would kind of liked if if they had explained why the Burrow was still there? They destroyed it in the last movie for no reason.

You put it in better words than I ever could. I'm usually a bit of a critic of the HP movies, just because they often don't do the book much justice, but this was brilliant, especially in comparison with the 6th movie.
God it was just non-stop suspense and just fear, fear, fear. The opening scene was shocking. I mean there were a lot of parts that were meant to be scary in the book, but watching it on screen was just... incredible and freaky. The movie captured the mood so well, gosh these guys made wonderful use of having 2 parts to film. -sigh-
I haven't read the 7th book in a while, so I had almost forgotten about the scene with Bathilda Bagshot. Jeez when her face suddenly came on screen between them the entire theater freaked out. Why would Harry and Hermoine ever follow an old lady as creepy as that omgggg @___@
There were some people who ruined Dobby's death when they laughed at Luna's line. D:

I am so grateful for all of these trio moments. I mean, I would have liked the rest of the many characters to get more than 1 or two lines, but. It was incredible.
Harry-Fluer hugging Bill while on the broom was the most hilarious thing ever~!
I'm glad someone else missed Dudley's tea scene as well. ;A;
Fred and George, I love these two so much.
I'm going to bawl my eyes out every five minutes and have a mental breakdown when I watch and finish the second part. I can't even imagine. Everything is ending. -sigh-

I know what you mean, Although sadly someone in my theater started to laugh when Dobby died. Although I don't like Dobby the best, He was vital to the book and the movie and Dobby himself grew as a character. So that was upsetting... I cant wait to see the next one.
I would say this is the *best* movie and one of my favorite books of the series.
