It's Wednesday, which means time for me to post photos of another one of my art-books! This week I've got a HUGE batch of Ghibli photos for you. Including photos from SIX Studio Ghibli art-books.

So yeah - LOTS of images. I realize that there is an ABUNDANCE of Ghibli pictures on the web - that's why I'm doing all of these books in one batch. I've also tried to find the images that aren't common on the net.
Like always - These images are photos with the purpose of motivating artists to draw and create their own works. This is only a SMALL number of the images in each book, I suggest everyone buys the books themselves from Amazon, Borders, Barnes and N

2013 Spring Anime TrailersI'm looking foward this new seasons :iconlaplz:

dis ladySo we were in China Town today, and my mom goes to this tiny clothing store next to this mall. Then I see these pocket watches at one of the tables in the store, which I went to check out. My mom lets me get one, and the manager of the store comes around and says okay sure, makes a few jokes, and puts the watch in a small bag, then leaves it on one of the tables while my mom went to try on some clothes.
Then I got paranoid and stuff so I opened the bag and took out the watch to doublecheck if everything was good and if it'd fit in that lil pocket on the left side of my jeans. And then the lady comes around again and she's like "NO NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT YOU HAVEN'T PAID YET PUT IT BACK IN THE BAG."
So I replied in a very kind manner, "I'm just trying to see if it fits in my pocket, see," and I show her the pocket I'm trying the watch in to prove I'm not trying to steal it, and she's just (｀(エ)´)ing at me and saying "no you can't do dis you haven't payd" even though

It has been a while since our last journal update.
The deadline is coming closer. 3 months is a sea of time but postponing a contest entry might result in forgetting about it!

Is Fan Art or Fan Characters allowed?
I'm afraid not

Only Original Characters and universes are allowed. Your Naruto based OC, for example, isn't elligible to enter or win.
Can we submit pre-existing works that fit the theme?
Nope. All entries must be made specifically for this contest, old artworks won't be accepted.

These are amazing, and now I really want to go out and try and find one (if only I had the money)

I've spent the last few hours just practicing sketching characters and concept art, and I was starting to burn out a bit, but this totally gave me a second wind.

I went and watched Spirited Away after I saw this entry. The night time "town" scenes are my favorite part of this film, they're just so very fey. Beautiful and grotesque! I think that theme is also in the art, the large swathes of red against otherwise dilapidated structures is so awesome. *u*

Gah I think I'll have to buy this book now. T_T Thank you for sharing Curry!! As always these are so inspiring.
